Cambodia has a huge potential for economic growth since more than half of its population are under the age of 25.

Cambodia is improving its energy infrastructure nationwide.

Cambodia offers a strong opportunity for investment as follows:

1.      Cambodia’s membership in WTO and MFNs and GSP Status: huge market in the US, EU, and other developed countries are awaiting Cambodia’s export with almost no tariffs. The EU's tariff policy of "Everything, but arms" has provided a great opportunity for Cambodia to import almost all products into the EU market without tariff.  

2.      High economic growth potential, political and macroeconomic policy stability, and an improving legal framework, and many special economic zones designated by the government, which make Cambodia is one of the Asia’s fastest growing economy.

3.      100% foreign ownership of business venture, low taxes, favorable trade and investment privileges, and free capital transfer to abroad.

4.      Cambodia in ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA). A huge regional market of more than 500 million people will provide great potential of investment for companies in Cambodia since Association of South East Asian Nation (ASEAN) is determined to achieve ASEAN Economic Community by 2015.

5.      The establishment of Cambodia stock exchange (CSX) in July 2011 allows quick mobilization of financial resource for company’s growth.

6.      Young population exceptionally favorable demographics with abundant young labor force. More than half of the population are under the age of 25.

7.      The country holds the potential to become one of Asia's top tourism: in 2011 alone, Cambodia has received around two million foreign tourists all around the world. Angkor Wat Temple in Siem Reap province is the main tourist attraction in Cambodia.

8.      Cambodia's infrastructure is being steadily upgraded including projects to improve road and rail connectivity with its neighboring countries.

9.      Huge deposit of untapped minerals and oil resource: underground and offshore.  This valuable mineral resouce would provide a major source of revenue for Cambodia's socio-economic development, including infrastructure improvement throughout the country. It is expected that in Cambodia will begin extracting its crude oil in its adjacent sea and the Gulf of Thailand in 2012.

10.  Inexpensive labor force: cheap, but energetic and skilled labor force.
